Social Media Competition Rules and Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions are for all competitions online or in the premises.

KVN Hair and Beauty LTD  occasionally runs competitions and giveaways on social media.

Terms & conditions of entry to the KVN Hair and Beauty LTD Competitions and Giveaways.

  1. The promoter is: KVN Hair and Beauty LTD (on relevant social media platforms)
  2. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over except employees of any of the prize giving brands/businesses and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
  3. There is no entry fee to enter this competition.
  4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  5. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via all relevant social media platforms and prize giver social and online accounts.
    Multiple entries per person will be accepted if stated on the post.
  6. Each giveaway will run for one to seven days. Closing date for entry will be midnight GMT on the day announced in the social media post. After this time, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  7. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  8. The rules of the competition varies depending on the network and is outlined in the post itself.
  9. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control.
  10. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  11. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details given to any entrant supplied by any prize givers connected with this competition.
  12. The prize for the winner is specified in the social media post and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
  13. The prizes are not transferable.
  14. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another without giving notice. In the event that no substitute can be found we reserve the right to remove any prize from the competition at any point.
  15. One entrant will be chosen at random  from all entries received each day and verified by the Promoter.
  16. The winner will be notified within 24 hours of the closing date of each giveaway. If the winner can not be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  17. By entering the Giveaway each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless the promoter, prize-givers their legal representatives, affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from any damages whatsoever suffered or sustained in connection The Giveaway or the acceptance of the Prize.
  18. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  19. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  20. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  21. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name, social media account and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry.
  22. The winner agrees to photograph their prize and share images by tagging KVN Hair and Beauty LTD and the prize giving brand on the relevant social platforms.
  23. The winner will receive their prize within 14 days of claiming their prize provided that they respond to correspondence and give their postal address to receive their prize within 14 days of notification. This timeline does not apply where the prize is bespoke, commissioned or requires the winner to choose their prize with vouchers, in all these cases the winner will receive their prize at the discretion of the prize-giving brand. All brands involved will give full disclosure on timescales when they are contacted by the winner.
  24. It will be the prize winners responsibility to contact the prize-giver in the first instance.
  25. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

  27. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Nail Policy

We really pleased to see that nails are lasting longer but it becoming apparent that after a longer period of time that Shellac is left on, the work for our therapists is taking more time to soak off and repair. The nails are more damaged, brittle, cuticles are severely overgrown, nails can be broken low down and appointments take us longer. We have had to put this new policy in place effective from 16/7/22.

Any redo appointment over 6 weeks will occur a additional charge of £6.50 to allow for extra time and product taken.

Please note this is more common on toes than hands. For best nail health, CND shellac should be worn for 14days. We know how fabulous the product is and you can get longer than 14 days but for best practise this policy has to be put into place.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations must be made 24 hours before your appointment, failure to do so, a 50% cancellation fee will occur. On the day cancellations, full payment is required.

Terms and Conditions of Course of Beauty Treatment

Standard terms and conditions of beauty treatments apply.

Course of treatment must be used within 6 months

Any cancellations less than 24 hours notice, the treatment is removed from the course.

Terms and Conditions of Training Course Bookings

Please wear salon uniform if you have one. If not please come in comfortable clothing. Please wear closed shoes- no heels allowed. NVQ Students- tunics must be work at all times. Please refer to your agreement (given on first day about uniform and presentation)

On arrival please wait in reception. You will be given a form you will need to complete and you course schedule pack.

 

Models

Models are required for your course. Please call the academy to find out what are required, times and if any patch tests are needed.

We have a list of models on our Facebook group KVN HAIR AND BEAUTY MODELS

If you do not have models to work on, you cannot complete your course and will have to return for assessment.

Models are the students responsibility. We will advertise and help where we can.

FAQ:

Can I obtain insurance after completion of any course?
Yes you can obtain insurance from Professional Beauty
Many beauty salons also recognise our diploma and even send their own therapists to us for further training. We are accredited by Professional Beauty awarding body, along with VTCT as a training centre. It is down to the student attending to ensure courses are accredited and obtain the correct insurances and licensees once completed the course and starting to work from the qualification.

Why are the beauty courses so much shorter than those at colleges of further education?
We provide short intensive training in small groups (maximum of six students per tutor).  The first part of the course covers essential theory but most of the training is practical where students are able to perform the treatments on each other and clients.

How can I book/pay for my course?
Bookings can be made over the phone using a credit or debit card.  Depending on the start date of the course, you can either pay in full at the time of booking or a deposit can be paid and the rest is due at least 10 working days before the course date.

Can I cancel or transfer my course?
Deposits and course payments are non-refundable and not transferable.  Failure to attend a confirmed course will result in the loss of all payments made for that course.
In the event of a genuine reason for cancellation (proof of which may be required), a request for transfer will be considered at the discretion of Havering Beauty Academy. If successful, an administration fee of £50 per course will be charged. See t&c section 1

What courses will include kits?
The majority of our courses include kits. On the course page each course will confirm if you will receive a kit or not. You are required to use your own kit to practice on the NVQs, but our products and equipment is used when practicing on paying models.

Does it matter how old I am?
No you can enrol on any course as long as you are over 16 years of age.

Do I need to bring a model?
No, HBA provide models but sometimes you are required to work on each other. NVQ students require models to practice on, be willing to be practiced on and models are required for all assessments.

Terms and Conditions

1. Cancellation of attendance will require 6 weeks’ notice. If sufficient notice is not given and is less than 6 weeks, KVN have the right to charge 100% of the total cost. Cancellation needs to be either a written letter (recorded delivery) or an email to [email protected]. Telephone cancellations must also be followed by an email or a written letter.

2. All rooms are to be kept in a clean and tidy manner – any breakages will be invoiced to the delegate attending HBA.

3. A 50% registration fee is applicable on all bookings. Placements will not be given without this.

4. Once registration fees have been paid a letter of confirmation will be sent out. The remaining fee will be required at least 10 working days before the course starts. If the delegate has less than 10 days until the first course date, full payment is required. If fees are not paid then the delegate/s cannot attend the course and deposit will be kept. If the delegate fails to arrive for their course or does not complete the course for any reasons, HBA will not refund or offer alternative course dates.

5. If a translator is required for any delegate this request must be confirmed upon booking, otherwise this may result in the request being refused. There will be a charge for this service.

6. All delegates attending a course are expected to look presentable at all times and maintain a professional manner.

7. Some courses require a minimum amount of students to run. NVQs in beauty run a minimum of 2 students per class. NVQs in hair require 3. Delays in your start date may happen, and we work with our students and keep you informed at all times. We appreciate student’s flexibility as well as working with students when they need to alter dates.
8. NVQ students are required to be committed and dedicated to your work and agree to complete all work on the time scale provided. Please see NVQ agreement for more information.

9. Students on training courses cannot use any training material, leaflets, documents or manuals for any future courses they may teach or use the qualification to train others in the future.
