Benefits of Massage

If you haven’t had a massage, your truly missing out. Massage is a general term for pressing, rubbing and manipulating your skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments. But there are lots of different techniques used by therapists – and working out which treatment will work for you is key.

Swedish Massage is a gentle form of massage using strokes, kneading, circular movements, vibration and tapping to leave you feeling energised and relaxed. Your therapist will use a carrier base oil like sweet almond or grapeseed oil.

Pre blended aromatherapy massage is using the same techniques but using a blend of aromatherpay oils to suit your needs including relaxation, stress, tension, calming or even oils for certain areas such as cellulite.

Deep Tissue massage is slower, more forceful strokes which target the deeper layers of the muscle and connective tissue. Its mostly used for helping muscle damage from injuries.

Hot Stone Massage uses heated stones on areas of the body as well as using them to massage the skin. It is very relaxing and the heat transmits deep into the muscle.

Massage can help a range of needs and studies have shown it improve pain, stress, muscle tension, anxiety, digestive problems, insomnia and much more.

Our therapist Ashleigh said ‘Massage is the ideal treatment for relaxation. It has various benefits such as reducing stress and relieving pain. There are many types including aromatherapy which can help with your overall wellbeing and boost your immune by using different essential oils. Deep tissue can aid in healing of minor soft tissue injuries. I enjoy giving massage treatments because its a way in which I can help clients to feel better. I would recommend massage to anyone to have a instant feel good boost and time to recharge.’

We offer all these massages in our salon at affordable prices.
