Petition to remove mast outside 142 Hornchurch Road
A local resident has started a petition to remove the telephone mast outside our shop front. We are supporting her and the campaign, along with local MPs and members of the public.
‘This petition is regarding the outrageous sighting of a telephone mast that has been put on the pavement in Hornchurch Road at the junction of Hyland Way. The cabinets and masts have been placed on the pavement and are causing obstruction to pedestrians and are very close to a busy bus stop for Hornchurch Road.
Very importantly, this electrical equipment’s has been placed so close to residential shops and private dwellings which is appalling and a risk of radiation from the mast. There are other installations in Havering and none of them have been put so close to residential and shop premises defiantly not on a footpath. It has ruined the whole character of this area.
It has been refused many times at different locations and roads around the area so why has it been put here? It is a major eye sore and has ruined the area.
This petition is to have the contactors to remove the mast because the mast poses serious public health risks and obstructions.’
