Done my waxing course with Ashleigh one day at KVN, was so nervous but was made to feel so welcome the class itself was really good nice and relaxed. The support after and doing my case studies, you guys where so on it with messages and helping me anyway you can.

Have really enjoyed doing my Level 2 nail course!
Aftercare support was really important to me when deciding who to train with and the support i have received has been brilliant. Emails are responded to quickly, and was told i can call or come into the salon any time. Ashleigh is amazingly patient and explains everything in simple terms, so for someone whos a fish out of water like me whos never even put a gel polish on before its perfect. Ive spent some time with Katie too and again nothing was too much trouble. All the girls in the salon are friendly and its been a nice atmosphere to learn in. Heather NVQ Nails 2023

I did my Level 3 AET course at KVN Beauty Academy. I learned so much and really enjoyed the course. Katie and Ashleigh were very knowledgeable and helpful throughout. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to do Level 3 AET. Natalie AET 2022

I knew when I started hairdressing 10 years ago that I wanted to teach and assess eventually. Now that my children are a bit older and are at school full time its been the prefect time for me to start. Katie and Ashleigh at Havering Beauty Academy have helped me no end and with their expertise and guidance I really feel that I have the the confidence to start my new chapter in tutoring and assessing hairdressing.
Havering beauty courses work around school times so are perfect for mums wanting to start something new. I’ve completed both my AET and Assessors qualifications in under a year and that is with being a mum and a mobile stylist.

I trained with Katie back in 2011 and ever since she has always been there for help and guidance when I need it. Only recently I contacted her about having spray tans and lashes! What order do we do it in?! As usual Katie was able to give me advice so that I am now confident in what I tell my clients.

I did a teaching qualification with Katie when there were many covid restrictions in place. Katie managed to still carry out the course with zoom classes which were carried out in a professional but yet relaxed manner.
Once the covid restrictions eased I was able to go to the academy to finish my teaching course. I was very pleased with how I was taught and was over the moon to have had passed my course.
I am looking at starting the assessors course this year to complete my teaching qualifications.

I completed my NVQ 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy with HBA several years ago but never went fully into beauty. I am now changing careers and want to return to the beauty industry.
As soon as I saw that Katie (owner of HBA) was offering career chats I arranged to speak with her. I know that Katie has had many years experience of running a successful beauty business and I have always found her approachable, very knowledgeable and also happy to share her knowledge (which a lot of people do not do!)
The career chat was amazing ! Katie asked me where I wanted my career to go and offered her advice and guidance around goal setting, learning opportunities and business knowledge. The chat provided me with a lot of information and opened my eyes to things that I had not thought of before.

My tutor Angelique is one of the most patient, professional, supportive and kindest tutor I ever had, also I got a lots of support and help from Katy who is always there and happy to help even today, any time I go to her with any questions. This book is a great read for anyone starting out in the hair or beauty industry. Katie covers all the key areas to get you started. Katie has several years experience and it radiates from the book. I did my Assessor course with this company…. one of the best training providers I have trained with and I have trained with a lot…. always on hand to help with any questions…. Back in September 2015,I attended a shellac course & the venue took place at havering beauty. The Tutor was award winning CND nail Ambassador of Essex, Justin Crick.
What a fabulous day I had in learning how to apply the amazing shellac, cover all kinds of areas dealing with any nail problems which could occur in the nail industry. I had a fantastic day with Justin & everybody at havering beauty what a lovely bunch of people, I enjoyed it so much I would do it all over again.

I am currently studying my Level 2 NVQ Hairdressing, I also completed the diploma prior to this. Both courses are set with Louisa. The reason I continued from the diploma to NVQ Is because of how welcomed I was by everyone. From day 1 I felt like I knew Louisa for a long time and enjoyed every moment she taught me.
Louisa is a credit to the academy and encouraged me to move forward with things I would not have considered before. After my course has finished I may do the spray tanning course. It is an amazing team at the academy and the premises provide everything you need to expand your knowledge and continue to progress. I took a last minute decision to do my NVQ 3 at havering Beauty Academy and im so glad I did. The tutors have been professional throughout and made this challenging course both fun and interesting. I did NVQ level 2 in Beauty last year I wasn’t sure what to expect but I felt like I fitted in straight away everyone is really friendly and helpful at Havering Beauty Academy overall it was a great course, very well put together and lots of information given to me for each section I learn because its taught within a salon you also get to work out front and deal with different situations which was very handy. The training from both Katie and Charley was excellent and felt really comfortable doing treatments after. Would highly recommend for anyone who is looking to do a course. I just completed a eyelash / eyebrow tinting & shaping course followed by party lashes. This course was easy to book up and Katie was full of information beforehand. During the course I was made to feel at ease and felt I could ask questions at any time. The course overall was very well put together and very informative. Special care was taken to make sure we mastered the technique and getting the best out of it in order to meet the clients needs and expectations. I currently supply fitness equipment to Havering Beauty Academy, which offers a number of different beauty courses and treatments. Katie has been very professional throughout and deals with any queries very promptly. The facilities are of a very high standard and the atmosphere is very inviting. I have done beauty courses in a number of different establishments but Havering hair and beauty academy beats them all hands down. The subject is thoroughly taught and every question answered. I was impressed with the level of service before, during and after my course. The facilities are great and you wont find a friendlier welcome, I was treated like an old friend! Havering hair and beauty academy is a great place! I have done a number of courses at Havering Beauty Academy and have been really impressed with the professionalism of the tutors, the friendliness of staff, cleanliness of the rooms, quality of facilities and equipment. Nothing is too much trouble and they have a fountain of knowledge between the staff.
